30-years Glasmuseum Steina

Since the 90s of the last century, Steina has pursued the goal of preserving the history of the surrounding area for society. Under the then local mayor and current first chairman of the Steina Glass Museum Association, Jörge Schiers, a first exhibition about the forest glassworks era in the southern Harz was created in 1990. In 1993, the briefly planned exhibition became a permanent exhibition in the former house of the guest Steina.
To this day, the glass museum remains a cultural site in Steina and is supported by many active helpers. To celebrate this success, the open day will take place at the Steina Glass Museum on October 7th, 2023. The museum is open there from 11:00 a.m.
